Americký film ze střední Protivný sprostý holky z roku 2004 se stal generačně ikonickým nejen díky nepřebernému množství silných hlášek. Bohatý herecký ansámbl v čele s tehdejší teen-star Lindsay Lohan a fenomenální "včelí královnou" Rachel McAdams naplno využil svůj komediální potenciál a zprostředkoval tak nekompromisně drzý, ale o to více zábavný vhled do prostředí střední školy.

Cady Heron certainly had an unusual childhood. Her parents are zoologists and she lived with them in the African jungle for 15 years, learning all the survival techniques and identifying with the local way of life. But after being home-schooled among elephants and gorillas, she has to go to study at high school in the big city, so you can imagine the hilarious and humorous situations that will follow for a young "African" girl in the city. However, at school she meets the children Damian and Janis. Soon, however, she also meets three cocky yet very popular girls - Regina, Gretchen and Karen - who Cady introduces to the city lifestyle and their group in general. The main character, however, wants to socialize mostly with her first friends and doesn't know who to choose. The whole situation escalates when Cady starts dating Aaron Samuels, Regina's ex-boyfriend. She, of course, won't take it lying down and decides like a true smug teenager to start dating Aaron again. When Cady finds this out, she decides to put an end to the "cocky" Regina, and together with Janis and Damian, they come up with a diabolical plan to get revenge.
